Auction house offers millions for baseball

Will MLB fan Cory Youmans suddenly become a millionaire thanks to a trapped baseball? As the US news agency “AP” reports, an auction house is offering two million US dollars for the baseball that the Texas businessman caught after Yankees professional Aaron Judge’s historic home run. Judge hit his 62nd home run of the season against the Texas Rangers, breaking a 61-year-old American League record set by Yankees legend Roger Maris. After the game, the new record holder admitted he would love to own the precious ball: “It would have been great to get it back but it’s a souvenir for a fan. Let’s see what happens.” So now the historic ball could make a fan a millionaire. The lucky catcher, who was asked about his plans with the ball immediately after his historic stroke of luck, left open whether it would come to that: “Good question. I haven’t thought about it yet.”
