This Monday the signing of the French attacker Antoine Griezmaan to Atlético de Madrid became official, as well as his relationship until 2026. The 31-year-old player was on loan from Barcelona in the mattress team and after reaching an agreement in the last hours, business was closed. Griezmann is officially from Atleti.
Everything was given for 20 million euros plus four in variables, according to figures announced by the Catalans.
“Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Antoine Griezmann, who since the summer of 2021 and to date had played for our club on loan from the Barça entity. In addition, the French striker has signed a contract that will link him with our entity until June 30, 2026”, specified the mattress club in a press release this Monday.
He also mentions that the French National Team striker has played 304 official matches dressed in red and white. “Griezmann has distributed 59 assists and scored 144 goals, becoming the fourth highest scorer in our history, surpassing another legend such as José Eulogio Gárate and just two goals from Campos, Atlético’s third highest scorer”.
Griezmann has had a good start to the season, participating in all the matches for the Spanish League and the Champions League. A total of 11 games, where he has scored 3 goals and has distributed 2 assists.
