Anadolu Efes beat Galatasaray Nef in Derby: 77-68

Starting the second quarter by scoring two consecutive baskets, Galatasaray Nef reduced the score to 2 points: 15-13. Making good use of the home team’s return from attacks without scoring, the yellow-red team equalized the score with Angola’s three-pointer: 18-18. Anadolu Efes, who once again took the lead with successive baskets by Egemen Güven on the return of the time-out, went to the locker room with the victory 38-33.

Continuing his performance in the second quarter of the match in the third quarter as well, Galatasaray Nef balanced the score once again with Sadık Emir Kabaca’s score in the 26th minute: 46-46. The yellow-red team took the lead for the first time in the fight with Morgan’s basket with just a short time before the end of the quarter, leading this part of the match 52-51.

Starting the last section fast, Anadolu Efes quickly took a 60-54 lead with Beaubois’ effective play. Having hit the field goal, Galatasaray Nef took the lead again with Angola and Göksenin Köksal’s three-pointers: 65-63. Anadolu Efes, leading 70-68 with 1 minute left, increased the lead to 5 points (73-68) with Micic’s basket foul. Evaluating Galatasaray Nef’s return from 2 attacks in a row, the dark blue-whites won the match 77-68.

Before the match, Anadolu Efes’s Presidential Cup was brought to the hall by the captain of the navy blue-white team, Doğuş Balbay, while Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek watched the match.
