Alba with men’s and women’s doubles match day

For the first time, the men and women of Alba Berlin will play a double match day in the national basketball leagues. “It was always a big vision for us to one day be able to offer Bundesliga basketball in Berlin with two teams. We have invested a lot in this and we will continue to do so, »said Alba managing director Marco Baldi in a statement on Wednesday, « we now want to celebrate the big home premiere of our women in the first division together. In this way we give the whole thing a worthy framework and also ensure the visibility that our DBBL team so much deserves.»

On October 23, the men will first compete against the MLP Academics Heidelberg in the Max-Schmeling-Halle (3 p.m. / Magentasport). At 5.30 p.m. the home game of the women, who have been promoted to the women’s Bundesliga DBBL, against Rutronik Stars Keltern will kick off.
