Agreement between the FEB and Virtus for the Men’s National Team to concentrate in Bologna during the November Window

A delegation from the Spanish Basketball Federation, led by its President, Jorge Garbajosa, traveled to Bologna yesterday to hold a working meeting with the Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna leadership, represented by its CEO, Luca Baraldi, and its General Director, Paolo Ronci. In a climate of maximum collaboration, both institutions agreed that the Spanish Men’s National Team will hold the preparatory concentration at the Virtus facilities for the qualifying match for the 2023 World Cup, which will face Spain and Italy in Italian territory during the Window of the next November.

The agreement reached by the FEB and Virtus means that the Spanish team will have all kinds of logistical facilities and will make use of the team’s facilities led by Sergio Scariolo, who, in this way, will be able to fulfill the responsibilities he holds at the head of both teams. The FEB wants to publicly thank the sensitivity and willingness to understand that it has found in Virtus Bologna, which will allow the National Team Manager to lead the European Champion in her match against Italy, despite the fact that her team has scheduled a match from another competition that same day.
