Diogo Jota has been ruled out of the 2022 World Cup due to an injury he sustained while playing for Liverpool against Manchester City.

“At the last minute one of my dreams came crashing down. I will be one of the supporters from off the pitch both at club and country and I will fight to return as soon as possible,” said Diogo Jota on Instagram.

2. Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum is set to miss playing for the Dutch national team at the 2022 World Cup.

The AS Roma loanee from PSG fractured the shinbone in his right foot in training ahead of facing Cremonese on August 21.

AS Roma general manager Tiago Pinto has confirmed that Wijnaldum will not be able to play in the 2022 World Cup.
