Xinhuanet, Beijing, October 7th. According to the Chinese Basketball Association, 16 outstanding Chinese basketball figures have entered the 2022 Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame nomination list after the recommendation of 500 members.
According to reports, the list of 16 people will be reviewed by the China Basketball Hall of Fame Final Review Committee, and 10 people (including 4 male athletes, 3 female athletes and 3 coaches) will be selected from it, and 15 “special tribute figures” Together with the excellent collective – “Fifty New China Basketball Players”, they will enter the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
The list of 16 nominees is as follows (in alphabetical order of names):
Male athletes: Bartle, Hu Weidong, Kuang Lubin, Liu Yudong, Mu Tiezhu, Wang Zhizhi.
Female athletes: Cong Xuedi, Li Shaofen, Li Xin, Song Xiaobo, Zheng Haixia.
Coaches: Jiang Xingquan, Li Chunjiang, Li Qiuping, Wang Fei, Xu Limin.
The 16-person nomination list is recommended by 500 nominating committees from a 30-person nomination list. The 500 selection committees are composed of representatives of basketball practitioners such as active athletes, retired athletes, coaches, referees, and media people.
The Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame recommendation activity is divided into three stages: nomination, nomination and final review. The final review of the third stage will start in mid-October, and the list of admitted members will be announced in November.
