Tennis player Anna-Lena Friedsam reached the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Portoroz, Slovenia.
The 28-year-old prevailed in the quarterfinals against Diane Parry from France after a weak start with 1: 6, 7: 6 (7: 4) and 6: 3.
Friedsam, who surprisingly knocked out the number one seeded Brit Emma Raducanu in the previous round, now plays against either the Czech Katerina Siniakova or Jasmine Paolini from Italy for a place in the final. The tournament is endowed with a total of 251,750 US dollars.
