World rankings high – ÖTV lady after defeating number 1 in the semifinals

After 123 minutes, Julia Grabher was finally allowed to celebrate. Thanks to a 4: 6, 6: 4, 6: 1 win over world number 78 Panna Udvary, the Dornbirn native made it into the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Bari. The first round was curious: Grabher had six break chances, two of which she used. Since the Hungarian, for her part, coldly exploited all three opportunities to take the serve from the Vorarlberger, the first set went 6: 4 to the 23-year-old. “I was a bit too passive in the first sentence,” analyzed Grabher afterwards.
