BOLASPORT.COM – Denmark’s men’s singles badminton player, Viktor Axelsen, feels he has created the perfect framework by moving his training to Dubai.

Since training in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Viktor Axelsen in August 2021 or after the Tokyo Olympics 2020, he almost won almost all the tournaments he participated in.

By 2022, Viktor Axelsen has won the World Championships, European Championships, All England and a number of high-level BWF World Tour tournaments.

Last year, the 28-year-old badminton player made the controversial decision to move his training to Dubai. When he looks back, it was the right decision for him to leave the national team training in Brondby, Denmark.

“I feel in a good place both when I’m in Dubai and at home in Denmark. It’s worked really well,” Axelsen said.

“The most important thing for me is that the family is doing very well and we are very happy,” said Axelsen.

Axelsen is currently taking a break after becoming the 2022 World Champion which is his second world title after 2017 in Glasgow, England.

Axelsen says training in Dubai helps keep him sharp. In early October, the father of one daughter will go to Denmark. He plans to train for two weeks in preparation for the 2022 Denmark Open, October 18-23.

Axelsen believes that this way he gets the best out of all the titles he holds. Despite Axelsen’s best results, the criticism of his choice to train in Dubai has not stopped.
