Helping, advising and entertaining all those “from retirement”, such is the challenge of the seniors’ fair, one of the highlights of the season at Auxerrexpo. Led by 70 exhibitors on Friday September 30 and Saturday October 1, 2022, the 5th edition will focus on the theme of intergenerational. A large set of guests will be “listening to visitors to support them in their projects”. For example, the France Services bus will be present to help anyone complete their administrative formalities electronically.

“The seniors’ fair addresses the issues of aging well, reception structures, adaptations in places of residence, leisure”, illustrates Sébastien Fuentes. The person in charge of the park recalls that the event is organized by the Departmental Council of Yonne, with the assistance of the Conference of funders of the prevention of the loss of autonomy of Yonne.
After Philippe Candeloro in 2021, Jennifer Lauret and Patrick Paroux in 2019, Marion Game in 2018, Danièle Gilbert and Professor Jean-Noël Fabiani in 2017, it’s Gérard Holtz’s turn to sponsor this 5th edition. The former sports journalist will lend himself to a signing session on Friday, after the inauguration (scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), in the departmental village.
“On Saturday, the show will be coupled with the Tisséade meeting, a large fabric and creative leisure market. We are hosting this show on 1,500 m²”, adds Sébastien Fuentes.
Aging simulator
In terms of entertainment, two dancing teas will come alive over the two days, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., to the rhythm of the trio from the Alain Regnault orchestra. Ideal for lovers of bagpipes and varieties from the 60s to 80s and more.
Let’s not forget the range of adapted sports and other activities (archery, mikado and giant crabs, laser rifle, caricaturist, golf-croquet, bowling/skittles Mölkky and upheaval, electric bike rides ): under the leadership of Yonne Sport Seniors.
The public will also be able to enjoy a large raffle, workshops (aging simulator, Highway Code, road safety), a canine demonstration by the Izpah association, a dog, a smile, as well as an introduction to bridge.
