Canada, an opponent of the Red Devils in the group stage at the upcoming World Cup, defeated World Cup organizer Qatar 2-0 in a practice match. Both goals had a Belgian touch. Morocco, another World Cup opponent, also won his practice pot.

After just 13 minutes, the final score was already on the scoreboard in the Generali Arena in the Austrian capital Vienna.

Club Brugge striker Cyle Larin opened the score after 4 minutes. He could head in freestanding.

After 13 minutes Jonathan David, ex-AA Gent, was able to double. Lille’s dribbling ass was in the right place to push in the 2-0.

Canada qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1986. In Qatar, the Red Devils open against the Canadians on Wednesday 23 November.

Morocco is the second opponent on Sunday 27 November. In their last group match, the Belgians will play Croatia on Thursday, December 1.

Morocco, with Ziyech, also wins

Morocco has also left no stone unturned in this international match so far. It celebrated the return of star player Hakim Ziyech to the national eleven with a smooth 2-0 win against Chile, which will not be in Qatar at the end of this year.

Sofiane Boufal (penalty kick) and Abdelhamid Sabiri scored the goals in the stadium of Spanish club Espanyol in the last 25 minutes.

Ziyech was substituted in the final phase. The attacking midfielder of Chelsea made his comeback in the team under new national coach Walid Regragui. Ziyech was long missing from the national team due to a conflict with the previous national coach Vahid Halilhodzic.

Standard strong holder Selim Amallah was taken off after 76 minutes.
