VIDEO ⟩ Porzingis is surrounded by a crowd of fans after arriving in Japan

The Wizards arrived in the Japanese capital on Wednesday for a five-day stay that will include two test matches against the reigning NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Immediately upon their arrival in Tokyo, the Wizards players were surrounded by a crowd of fans, with people eager to get autographs from their idols. Porzingis also signed.

After the first night in Tokyo, the Latvian admitted that he slept well, so he didn’t even pay much attention to what was happening around him. On the other hand, Kyle Kuzma allegedly went for a walk to the local fish market in the morning, where a fan gave him a set of personalized chopsticks. The names of Kuzma and his girlfriend are engraved on the chopsticks.

For the “Wizards” team, the flight to Tokyo, the capital of Japan, took 14 hours. The club went away with an impressive delegation of around 100 people.

It is worth noting the fact that the “Wizards” team includes Japanese national basketball player Rui Hachimura, so we can guess which team the local audience will support.

In a conversation with “Washington Post”, Porzingis emphasized that the long flight does not worry him, because it is a time when he can calmly organize his thoughts. The Latvian basketball star admitted that he would like to sit next to his Japanese teammate during the flight in order to get to know the local culture more.
