The Dutch pilot Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won this Sunday the race of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, fifteenth round of the Formula 1 World Cup, and took an almost definitive step to revalidate the title, while the Spaniard Fernando Alonso (Alpine) finished sixth and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), weighed down by a bad ‘pitstop’ and a penalty, could only finish eighth.

With his tenth victory of the season, this time ahead of the British George Russell (Mercedes) and Charles Leclerc, the reigning world champion strengthens his leadership of the overall drivers, in which he leads by 109 points over the second-placed, the Monegasque

On the other hand, Alonso, who started thirteenth after staying in Q2 on Saturday, has climbed up positions to finish sixth, benefiting from the final penalty of five seconds to a desperate Sainz; a bad first pit stop has overturned the plans of the Madrid native, who has received a penalty in the last laps for an ‘unsafe release’ in front of Alonso in the ‘pitlane’ which has caused him to drop three places.
