The Venezuelan Olympic Committee, through its Twitter social network, @OfficialCOV, announced that the Judo team won five medals at the Bogotá 2022 Pan American Open, where 20 countries and 230 judokas from the American continent and Europe participated.
The competition met at the Palacio de Deportes coliseum located in the Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park from Colombia, where Venezuela fulfilled a fundamental role by obtaining the largest number of medals with:
– Oro Amarantha Urdaneta +78 kg.
– Silver Fabiola Diaz 52 kg.
– Bronze for Luis Amezquita +100 Kg.
For her part, María Giménez obtained the Bronze medal, in the 48 kg category to continue adding points within the Qualification Ranking for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
Likewise, the Judo selection won a Bronze medal for the Athlete Carlos Páez in the 90 Kg category.
