Sven van Beek in action against NEC

SC Heerenveen got no further than a 0-0 draw against NEC on Sunday afternoon. Afterwards, captain Sven van Beek stood in front of the ESPN camera.
“In the first half, I think it started a bit difficult for us. They could always find a free man in midfield, but they didn’t become really dangerous,” the defender analyzed.
He continues: “In the second half we came into our game a bit better, until the red card. Then you are actually behind the facts again”, Van Beek saw, who notices that SC Heerenveen does not give much away.
“But we just wanted to get the three points today. That didn’t work out. In the first half we didn’t really get the feeling that we could put pressure on them, that’s a shame,” continues the captain.
“and I think you start very well in the second half and then you see better and better that we came into the game. Until that red card…”, Van Beek refers to the red card for Tibor Halilovic.
He is clear about that: “That is just a very stupid violation. There in midfield that is not necessary at all. Sometimes he is toxic, but this is unnecessary. It is stupid.”
