Toni Nadalmentor and uncle of Rafael Nadal, is now the director of the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor where Casper Ruud, US Open finalist, trains.
The Majorcan coach assesses the final tonight against the Norwegian against Carlos Alcaraz: “The match will be difficult for our player Casper Ruud. Opposite he will have a player in great shape, but I trust Casper because he has the weapons to be able to defeat Carlos“.
Toni believes that “the fact that Ruud has the experience of having played a ‘Grand Slam’ final at Roland Garros will count. Today will be a different match. The two play a lot, not only the possibility of winning their first trophy of ‘Grand Slam’ but on top of that they can become number one”.
Regarding who starts as the favourite, the prestigious coach is clear that “Alcaraz is probably a slight favourite, but I think our player has a lot of options and he has to keep his determination alive and fight until the last point. Let’s hope things go well“.
