Toto Cup – Sixty is eliminated against Illertissen – Sport

Third division football club TSV 1860 Munich surprisingly failed in the quarterfinals of the state cup on Tuesday evening: Coach Michael Köllner’s team lost 0:1 (0:1) at regional division club FV Illertissen. The FV had won the Toto Cup last season and thus reached the DFB Cup main round, but is currently in 17th place in the crisis. Coach Marco Konrad had to leave on Monday. The appearance of the team of interim coach Sven Ackermann was all the more surprising: After a quarter of an hour, Maurice Strobel put the FV in the lead. Sixty goalkeeper Marco Hiller got a lot to do afterwards, the lions seemed unimaginative. That only improved after the break, especially when Köllner brought on Fynn Lakenmacher and Stefan Lex (59′); there were only four regular players in the starting XI. The lions only had the best chances in the 89th and 90th minute through Lex and Meris Skenderovic, so the defeat was deserved. Sixty now only has the option of qualifying for the DFB Cup through a top place in the third division. The other favorites also struggled on Tuesday, with all three other games going to penalties. The second third division team in the competition, FC Ingolstadt, won at VfB Eichstätt. The Würzburger Kickers needed seven penalties to defeat DJK Vilzing. And FC Schweinfurt was eliminated by the Bavarian league club ATSV Erlangen.
