Ex-Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel (49) is not only required by Bayern fans …

The English national team is currently in an even bigger crisis than Bayern. Coach Gareth Southgate’s team (52) was relegated to Nations League B after beating Italy 1-0.

And as the British “Daily Mail” reports, many fans of the national team now want a new coach. Again and again, Tuchel is mentioned!

England have been without a win in their last five internationals. Before the 1-0 draw with Italy, the selection lost 4-0 to Hungary, only managed a draw against Italy (0-0) and Germany (1-1) and had previously lost to Hungary (0-1).

Too many bad results for many fans’ liking. Southgate’s dismissal was vehemently demanded on Twitter and Tuchel was brought up again and again.

“I’ll tell you something. If Tuchel took over this English team for the World Cup, they would have a real chance.”

“Southgate fired. Adjust towels. England will be good. Easy.” (this tweet had nearly 20,000 likes as of Saturday night).

“Fix Southgate and get cup specialist Tuchel for the World Cup.”

“Hello England, it’s not too late to get rid of Southgate and get Thomas Tuchel.”

These tweets and others of this kind received numerous likes from Twitter users.

The demands of the fans show what a good reputation the German coach earned during his time at Chelsea in England.

With Chelsea, Tuchel surprisingly won the Champions League right away in 2021. In addition, despite the worst possible starting position, he led his team through the league to the Champions League for the next season. He finished third with Chelsea in the 2021/2022 season despite numerous sanctions being imposed on the club.

In September, Tuchel was sacked after poor league results (1-2 at Southampton, 0-3 at Leeds) and a 1-0 defeat in the Champions League at Dinamo Zagreb. The club’s new owner, US billionaire Todd Boehly (48), hired Graham Potter (47) as the new coach.

At least the fans are demanding that Tuchel should soon take a new job in England.
