The United States broke the record for points scored in a game in the history of the Women’s Basketball World Cup on Monday in Sydney, with 145 scored against South Korea, two more than the previous record, in force for 32 years.

The Americans, already through to the quarterfinals, won 145-69 in their fourth Group A match, breaking Brazil’s record set in 1990 against host Malaysia. In that match, the Brazilians prevailed 143-50.

This game left other statistics just as surprising: 56 to 20 in rebounds and a collective PIR of 216 for the United States, with 35 for Brionna Jones (24 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks) and 30 for A’ja Wilson (20 points and 8 rebounds).
