The RFEF revolutionizes women’s football

In 1971, in the Madrid neighborhood of Villaverde, a women’s football match was played for the first time in Spain. Since then and until now, very slowly, the snowball that has made football grow among women in our country has been constant. However, it has been in the last five years when the accelerator has been stepped on to reach the sweet spot of today: professional league, Ballon d’Or for Alexia Putellas and silver for Beautiful JennySpain U-16 current champion of the Development Tournament, Spain U-17 current runner-up in Europe, Spain U-19 current champion in Europe, Spain U-20 recent World Champion and the senior team as one of the candidates for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
