The return of the Catalan women’s team will be in November against Venezuela

The Catalan Federation announced yesterday that the Catalan women’s team will play again three years after the last time. The players led by coach Xavi Llorens will face Venezuela during the first fortnight of November in a match that has yet to confirm the date and venue. The president of the FCF, Joan Soteras, also announced that between March and May 2023 the Catalans will play a second match. “We have made efforts from home to have a powerful rival and I hope we have players of a level, as long as the absolute Spanish national team allows us to do so. In Catalonia we have good candidates to be summoned”, he commented. The last time Llorens’ team met was last January 2019 to play against Chile in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat in a match that ended with victory for Catalonia in the penalty shootout (4-2) after finishing with a 0-0 draw.
