Marc Klok canceled playing due to illness Indonesian National team beat Curacao 2-1 in the second meeting at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Tuesday (27/9).
Klok’s name was originally entered as a starter for the match against Curacao in the list of players chosen by coach Shin Tae Yong. DSP Indonesia has also been submitted to the Match Supervisor (PP) and distributed to the media crew covering Indonesia vs Curacao at Pakansari Stadium, Tuesday (27/9).
However, the line-up was changed by Shin Tae Yong before the match was played with the name Klok removed and replaced by his teammate at Persib Bandung, Ricky Kambuaya. Klok, who had followed the warm-up with his colleagues, canceled playing because he felt unfit.
“I was sick. I tried to force him and warm up, but my condition didn’t allow me to play,” Klok explained on his Instagram story.
Klok could only watch his teammates struggle on the field. Although not reinforced by Klok, the Garuda team was able to win 2-1 over the team who was ranked 84th in FIFA.
The naturalized player also felt happy with the success achieved by the Indonesian national team. Moreover, the Indonesian national team was able to win twice with a score of 3-2 and 2-1 over La Familia Azul.
