The Mexican Katia Castillo seeks a medal in the Pan American Open, in #Colombia

With the objective of closing the continental tour in the best way, with the largest judo team, the Mexican Katia Castillo Bustos, originally from Metepec, Mexico stateis ready and motivated to face the third date of the Pan American Open which will take place in Bogota, Colombiathis weekend, the event will distribute points in the Olympic classification ranking.

Mexican swimmers seek to qualify for the 2023 Central American Games

The Palace of Sports the Colombian city will open its doors to more than 160 athletes, 104 men and 59 women, from 20 countries, who will seek to close the continental tour with a flourish, after stops in the Dominican Republic and Peru, where Mexico achieved favorable results with the harvest of 18 medals between the two events.

The selection is made up of 12 men and nine women, who polished technical and tactical aspects in the concentration prior to the event.

The women’s team is led by the Olympians in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Edna Guadalupe Carrillo Torres and Prisca Awiti Alcaraz, they will go up to the tatami in the weight divisions -48 and -63 kilograms, respectively. Katia Castillo Bustos will participate in the -63 kilos category.
