The Vietnam national team succeeded in overthrowing the South Asian team, India. The Golden Star feasted on three goals without reply.
FIFA Matchday Tuesday (27/9/2022) pits Vietnam vs India. The duel took place at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
The home team immediately opened the scoring when the game had only been running for ten minutes. Van Duc Phan successfully broke into India’s goal through a half-volley shot in the penalty box.
Vietnam continued to pound the Indian defense before halftime, but no additional goals were created. Score 1-0 to The Golden Star closed the first half.
Vietnam doubled their lead four minutes into the second half. This time it was Nguyen Van Toan’s turn who successfully listed his name on the scoreboard.
Park Hang-seo’s team added another goal in the 70th minute. Nguyen Van Quyet’s low shot in the penalty box failed to be blocked by Indian goalkeeper, Gurpreet Sing Sandhu.
The 3-0 score for Vietnam became the final result of the match at Thong Nhat Stadium.
This is Vietnam’s second win in the FIFA Matchday September 2022 match. The Golden Star previously beat Singapore 4-0.
