“The goal is my thing!”

Emma Reimann was particularly challenged in the first 20 minutes last Sunday: Hertha 03 played against 1. FC Union in the U17 Bundesliga. Hertha versus Union, long a football classic, albeit here with “little Hertha” from Zehlendorf. It got exciting: first the ball landed unluckily in the Hertha net in the 14th minute, then two minutes later Union’s Josi Schwarz scored the second goal. 0: 2 from Zehlendorf’s point of view. But the Hertha 03 footballers didn’t let their heads or feet hang down – and first started catching up and then battling it out. After twice 20 minutes the final result was 5:2. The conversation with the 16-year-old Hertha goalkeeper took place immediately after the end of the game.
