The season could not have started better for the Badminton Granada-Grupo Torres, since in addition to achieving victory in the debut of this season in the Iberdrola Top 10, they did so against a direct rival for permanence, the current First Division champion , ANT Paracuellos. Salvador Franco’s men went with everything to the Community of Madrid and they bring a 2-5 in favor that will serve as an incentive for the home premiere, on November 6 against the University of Valladolid.

The mixed doubles began with an unprecedented couple formed by the Frenchman Amaury Lievre and the Czech Betka Basova, who repeated in the women’s doubles together with Sonia Martínez. The male duo was made up of Dani Franco and Rubén García, as has become customary, and María de la O, Rubén García, Lievre and Sonia Martínez were in charge of the singles.

Lievre and Basova took the first point against Simon Baron-Christodoulou by a tight 2-3. Basova and Martínez, put distance in a comfortable way, after beating Alonso-Iriberri (0-3) for 0-2, in the general. The 0-3 came from the hand of the junior European runners-up, García and Franco, against Fernández and Cervelló with victory in the men’s doubles by 1-3. But this season, as in the previous one, each point will count at the end of the season and this is something that Paracuellos had very much in mind to add his two goals; that of Eleni Christodouolou against María de la O Pérez (3-1) and that of Simon Baron Vezilier against Rubén García (1-3), for 2-3. Sonia Martínez beat Iriberri (2-3) for 2-4 and Amauri Lievre would add the final 2-5 against Marco Fernández (3-0).

The Badminton Granada Grupo Torres will rest the next day, to wait at home on November 6 for the University of Valladolid, a match that will be played at the Pabellón Núñez Blanca, with a time yet to be determined.
