Tennis player Kicker beat Navone in Villa María in the final

Nicolás Kicker (234 in the ATP world ranking) today won the final between players from Buenos Aires and beat Mariano Navone (333) in two sets to qualify as champion of the Villa María Tennis Challenger, in Córdoba, in a contest that awarded prizes of 45,700 dollars and held on brick dust.

The 30-year-old player from the Merlo neighborhood prevailed with partials of 7-5 and 6-3.

In this way, Kicker achieved his fourth Challenger-type title in his professional career, the first since the 2017 season.

Starting tomorrow, Kicker will noticeably advance in the leaderboard and enter the top 200 in the ranking.

The brand new champion in the Sport Social de Villa María celebrated his second Challenger final in 2022, since in the previous one he had fallen in mid-July last 6-4 and 6-4 with the Cordovan Pedro Cachínin the definition of the tournament in Todi, Italy.
