On September 6, basketball commentator Su Qun wrote an article expressing his support for the naturalization of foreign aid for the Chinese men’s basketball team.
Su Qun wrote: “First of all, I declare my own attitude, I have always supported the naturalization of foreign aid.
I have three reasons: First, from the 1st to the 4th position, everyone can be naturalized, especially the core guard, which can drive the other four points on the field, so that one can be naturalized and the whole team can improve. Second, the whole world is naturalizing, and there are few talents in China who play high-level basketball. If you are not naturalized, you can’t beat others, and no one will sympathize and admire you; third, Chinese basketball has been out of high-level environment for a long time (such as the Olympic Games ), will fall into a vicious circle of further decline.
Once you have stated your position and reasons, you can open up and say the truth:Chinese sports have completely accepted naturalization, but Chinese basketball has not, and will not accept it for a long time.”
Afterwards, Su Qun cited the examples of the Chinese men’s football team’s naturalized Brazilian players, the Chinese men’s and women’s ice hockey team’s naturalized 28 players, and Gu Ailing.
