Stuani suffers from cardiac arrhythmia

Girona FC has reported this Friday that Cristhian Stuani is suffering from a benign cardiac arrhythmia. According to the club’s medical statement, the Uruguayan player will be out for approximately one month.

For this reason, the striker will miss this Saturday’s duel in Mallorca, as well as the matches against Valladolid (Friday 9 in Montilivi) and the visit to Benito Villamarín to face Betis (Sunday 18).

In Míchel’s press conference prior to the trip to Mallorca, the coach stated that “Stuani has had a particular feeling in his heart this week. We knew then that it was an arrhythmia. Thank God he is in perfect health and we he has reassured everyone with the tests he has done. He is part of Girona’s heart and beats strongly. It was a scare and nothing more. This is the feeling. They will have to do more tests and he will be a month off. After three years looking to return to Primera this will not slow him down and he will soon be back with us.”

Stuani joins Yangel Herrera, Ramon Terrats, Valery Fernández, Borja García, Iván Martín and Ibrahima Kébé on Girona’s injury list.
