SPORTS / The 1st National Archery Concentration ‘Pink Arrows’ brings together twenty women in San José

The first three classified have been Tere Cano, Lucía Vara and Mila Parra

This morning the San José pavilion hosted the first National Archery Concentration ‘Flechas Rosas’ in which twenty archers participated. First thing in the morning, bow in hand, the participants faced the horizon of the target and also the figures in three dimensions that they had to reach in order to score.

‘Pink Arrows’ is a project aimed at the rehabilitation of breast cancer patients and launched in 2017 through the Arco Lorca archery club, the Alimer Foundation and the Virgen del Alcázar Hospital. The recipients are those women with breast cancer who have undergone mastectomies (removal of the breast).

At mid-morning, and after collecting the boards with the scores, the medals were awarded. The first classified was Teresa Cano followed by Lucía Vara and Mila Parra. However, the most important thing was not the results but the day of coexistence. After a well-deserved lunch, the attendees have participated in a talk on physiotherapy.
