Sparta footballers on the wheel of shame. It will come to players, the legend warns

The guest in the studio is Martin Frýdek, former excellent midfielder of Sparta and vice-champion of Europe in 1996. He remembers that when his generation already performed a performance similar to the current Spartans against Zlín, he preferred to quickly pack up with the team from the pitch to the dressing room.

“Maybe you can’t hear it on TV, but when you’re not doing well and you’re going to get a ball, for example, you hear the swearing. Priske probably wants to show cohesion with that wheel, even if it’s not going well,” commented Frýdek on the post-match events at the Letne pitch.

Of course, he would like Sparta to beat an opponent like Zlín at home and celebrate three points. When she didn’t succeed, she regrets what the players had to go through after the duel.

“I think it’s a great suffering for the players, they see for themselves if they played well or badly,” he claims that every footballer can evaluate the parameters of his performance.

“And then to complete this round… The rest of the fans who didn’t leave before the end, when they saw how the game was played, will come after you. It’s very hard on the psyche,” adds Frýdek.
