September of sport, the Riviera awaits 190 thousand visitors – Emilia Romagna

BOLOGNA – From the Moto Gp of Misano adriatico (2-4 September) to the Ironman of Cervia (16-18 September), from the Davis Cup in Bologna (13-18 September) to the Motorboat World Championship in Piacenza (23-25 ​​September) . Over the next thirty days the Emilia-Romagna Sport Valley will host seven international level events that will welcome thousands of athletes, companions and audiences from all over the world.
Only with regard to the events of the Riviera – Grand Prix of San Marino and the Riviera of Rimini, Italian Bike Festival (9-11 September), Ironman Italy, Judo European Open (10-16 September), World Swimming Lifesaving Championships ( from 17 September to 3 October) – in fact, an estimated 192 thousand tourists in accommodation facilities and a turnover of over 55 million euros in accommodation, catering, shopping and services.
To these values ​​will also be added the numbers generated by the Davis Cup, which arrives at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, and which to date has already sold over 16 thousand tickets, with Italy’s matches already covered at 80%.
“The 16 thousand tickets already sold correspond to 50% more than those sold in the same period when the Cup was held in Turin”, underlined the head of the political secretariat of the regional presidency, Giammaria Manghi, who together with the councilor Andrea Corsini and the president Stefano Bonaccini presented the appointments. “We are continuing to invest like no other in these events – added Bonaccini – we are increasingly reached by requests from sports federations to invest in these parts. Hospitality and organizational capacity are among the values ​​of our region”.
