Atlético Nacional tied 1-1 with Envigado Fútbol Club, in a game pending the seventh date in the BetPlay II-2022 League. The purslane made a difference with a goal by Jefferson Duque, but Francisco Báez leveled the result in the complement. The locals finished with 10 players with the expulsion of Jarlan Barrera.
The first half hour of play lacked emotions on the field. Both teams shared control of the ball and there was no offensive difference. It was not until minute 36, that after a handball by Daniel Londoño reviewed by the VAR, referee Bismarks Santiago did not hesitate to sanction the penalty.
A couple of minutes later, Jefferson Duque changed the penalty for a goal, the 100th with the purslane shirt in 230 games played with the Antioquia team. The beast is the third top scorer in green history, behind Víctor Hugo Aristizábal, who scored 206 goals in 393 games and Jhon Jairo Trellez who converted 131 goals in 323 games.
The initial stage ended uneventfully beyond Duque’s goal. Envigado could not get out of his field, while the local managed the times and controlled the ball until the end of the 48 minutes of play.
In the complementary stage, Nacional made a change, Andrés Andrade entered instead of Yeison Guzmán. While Envigado had no news. At the minute of play, Daniel Mantilla had the second goal, after an inside hook from the left wing, but the ball went wide of the orange goal.
At minute 6, Envigado approached the rival area with a shot by Juan Manuel Zapata on the left sector, which passed near the goal guarded by Kevin Mier. The oranges insisted, but they were not precise in their shots.
At minute 21, Envigado equalized through Francisco Báez, the Paraguayan took advantage of a corner kick to get up between the center-backs over the middle of the area and with a powerful header, overcome the resistance of Kevin Mier.
After the goal, Nacional went out to seek the advantage on the scoreboard, at minute 23, Dorlan Pabón, after a collective play, narrowly defeated goalkeeper Felipe Parra.
On the 30th, Nelson Palacio and Jefferson Duque left National and Jarlan Barrera and Jaider Asprilla entered. At minute 35, Andrés Andrade had the second half volley for Nacional, but his shot went wide.

Emmanuel Olivera had two clear options to score, but he lacked aim. While in Envigado, they made a double substitution, with the entry of Yilmar Celedón and Andrés Jiménez instead of Ever Valencia and Diego Moreno.
In replacement time, Jarlan Barrera was expelled, after he was reprimanded, he answered the central judge and the referee decided to remove him from the match, leaving Nacional with 10 players.
Envigado took advantage of the last minute to make his last variation, entering Déiler Córdoba instead of Jesús Hernández.
In the end, Nacional and Envigado split points in a game with few emotions and that managed to heat up around the time of the match.
On the next date, Atlético Nacional will face Deportivo Independiente Medellín in a new edition of the classic Antioquia. While Envigado Fútbol Club receives Águilas Doradas at the Polideportivo Sur stadium.
