Real Madrid: Royal make surprising World Cup decision – SOCCER

Extra vacation thanks to the soccer World Cup!

The premature winter break comes in handy for the players who are unlikely to be nominated for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. At least the Real Madrid players are apparently getting up to three weeks off.

This is reported by the “realtotal” portal. So the royals would have decided that it made no sense to train with the remaining players permanently during the six-week World Cup break.

14 players in the Madrid squad are likely to travel to Qatar. At Real, with Toni Kroos, David Alaba, Nacho Fernández, Lucas Vázquez, Dani Ceballos, Jesús Vallejo, Mariano Díaz, Álvaro Odriozola and Andriy Lunin, nine players probably have no chance of winning the World Cup, are not qualified like Alaba with Austria or like Kroos already from the national team resigned.

Instead of training, they can look forward to vacation. And can rest before the busy second part of the season. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti (63) has already promised his World Cup participants breaks.

The Italian: “The players usually go on vacation afterwards, now they come back to start the most important phase of the season. Then you have to make sure that the returnees get breaks and it’s possible that they won’t be available to us in the first few games afterwards.”

Ancelotti continues: “The time after the World Cup is the real question mark. The most important question is not about the preparation, but the mental aspect. There is no break, this time they have to go back to base and get back to work. They won’t switch off and that’s the real question: how will their physical and mental health be when the championships start again.

In order to absorb the failures of the World Cup players, the Madrilenians on holiday should be in top shape.
