Pereira: “We want the best for the National Team, I am convinced that it will be resolved”

Andrea Pereira, one of the 15 soccer players who sent the mail to the RFEF Asking not to be summoned, she spoke to Fox Sport México about the situation of the National Team. “When the results do not appear anywhere, you need changes, you need to do different things. It is what has happened. Within the changes or small modifications that have to be made, We all continue as one and wanting the best for the National Team and I am convinced that it will be resolved”.

The Barcelonan, now in the ranks of the Aztec Club América, explained to the journalist Mónica Arredondo that the European Championship in England has been key to creating this situation: “The Euro was like the final point. Spain, with the players we have and what is being invested, we want more. We are competitive players and it leads you to want more and love it now because age is passing and we want to achieve things”. The player, who has not entered Vilda’s list, summarized what the players are asking for: “That a small effort be made to be more professional and have the best conditions to win. Winning weighs heavily on us, it happens to anyone who is competitive, and that is what we want and for that we need a bit in general, not just the players”. But he was blunt when asked if the request was Jorge Vilda’s departure: “We did not ask for it, the statement clearly did not.”

Regarding the RFEF statement in which he assures that the players will have to ask for forgiveness to wear La Roja again, Pereira stated: “Each one expresses himself as he can or wants.” But she was positive: “Within there it will be solved, I am convinced. Let’s see what happens with the situation in general, but I think it’s not positive for anyone to be like this”.
