Ostapenko wakes the Andorran Jiménez from sleep

The Latvian Jelena Ostapenko has ended the dream of the Andorran Victoria Jiménez in the Seoul tournament, defeating her in the quarterfinals by 6-2 and 6-1.

Ostapenko, first seeded, did not give any option to the young player from the Principality and solved its pass to the semifinals in just 90 minutes.

The Latvian will face the British Emma Raducanu, sixth favorite, in the next roundwho got rid of the third seed, the Polish Magda Linette, by a double 6-2.

The other semifinal will be played by the Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova and the German Tatjana Mariawho beat the Swiss Lulu Sun and the Chinese Lin Zhu, respectively.
