Novak Djokovic sang at his brother’s wedding (WATCH)

After Novak Djokovic sang “Englishman in New York”, a title by singer Sting following his victory at Wimbledon 2022, the Serbian champion took the microphone again at the wedding of his younger brother, Djordje, in Montenegro.

Before going to London for the Laver Cup 2022, Djokovic indeed had an important event to celebrate: his brother’s wedding.

In addition to having sung, Novak Djokovic had a good time with his wife Jelena and his son Stefan.

Previously, the Serb sang with artist Sasa Kovacevic during a celebratory dinner at a restaurant in Belgrade. He was with his wife Jelena and his friends, all seated at the same table and gathered around the Wimbledon trophy.

Kovacevic then posted a video on social media showing him and Djokovic singing Sting’s famous Englishman in New York song. At the end of the song, we can hear Novak and Sasa personalize the famous phrase “I’m an Englishman in New York” by putting “Serbian” in place of “Englishman”

The choice of song clearly said Djokovic’s wish to be able to play at this year’s US Open, which ultimately didn’t happen. The Serb was barred from all hard-court tournaments in North America, due to restrictions affecting unvaccinated people and which seemed incomprehensible to many people.

Indeed, several personalities, some of whom are American, tried to intercede in favor of the Serb, a petition was even launched, but all of this was in vain.
