A sex affair shakes NBA club Boston Celtics!
According to ESPN, coach Ime Udoka (45) is threatened with suspension by his club.
The reason is said to be an “inappropriate and intimate relationship” with an employee. Although the relationship is consensual, it is still a violation of internal rules. Internal relationships are taboo there!
ESPN basketball pundit Adrian Wojnarowski: “Things have developed rapidly in the last few days. For the Celtics, who are about to start pre-season, it’s obviously uncomfortable. I assume they will make a quick decision.”
ESPN even reports that Udoka could face the end of the entire coming season (starting on October 19th). However, his job should not be in danger, after the suspension has expired he could return to the bank.
There has not yet been an official statement from the club on the subject.
The relationship could also have private consequences for Udoka: Officially, the trainer is in a relationship with the US actress Nia Long (51, including NAVY CIS) and has an 11-year-old son with her.
Udoka only joined the Celtics before last season, previously only working as an assistant coach at various other clubs. In Boston he had immediate success.
After a bad start with 20 wins and 21 failures, the team started an impressive race to catch up!
With 51 wins and 31 defeats, Udoka ultimately led the club into the playoffs, where they swept the super team of the Brooklyn Nets (with megastar Kevin Durant) 4-0 off the floor in the first round.
