The NationalBERN – Basketball Association (NBA) has suspended Robert Sarver, owner of the Phoenix Suns, for one year after making racist and misogynist statements. In addition, Sarver, who, alongside the Suns, also owns the Phoenix Mercury women’s team from the WNBA, was fined ten million US dollars (around CHF 9.6 million). An investigation released by the NBA found evidence that the 60-year-old was involved in “workplace misconduct and organizational deficiencies.”
