The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced today that “NBA District”, an interactive fan event related to the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022 from Thursday 6th October to Sunday 9th October at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.
The 2022 NBA Abu Dhabi Games will host the Atlanta Hawks and 2021 NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, October 6 and Saturday, October 8 at 8 p.m. at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island play two pre-season games in Abu Dhabi and thus play the first games of the league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Arabian Gulf.
Ideal for game-goers and area visitors, the NBA District showcases music, media and arts associated with NBA culture. Fans can connect with NBA personalities from around the world, watch authentic NBA games, experience basketball hands-on and shop for limited-edition NBA merchandise.

NBA District fan activities include official photo ops with the iconic Larry O’Brien Trophy and live panel discussions with workshops featuring current and former NBA players, global content creators, artists and entertainers. At the NBA Ice Buckets pop-up court, fans can compete for a chance at NBA prizes in a buzzer-beating basketball game.
A day pass for the NBA District costs AED 55, a five-day pass costs AED 215. The 2022 NBA Abu Dhabi Games is part of a groundbreaking multi-year collaboration between the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi. Under the terms of the collaboration, DCT Abu Dhabi will act as the NBA’s official tourism partner in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and China under the name “Visit Abu Dhabi”.
