National commitment for Prince Thomas 1er archers in Venaria – Aostasports.it

Saturday 10 September from 2.30 pm on the field of the ASD Sentiero Selvaggio di Venaria Reale in via Cavallo, 38 a national 18m outdoor competition included in the Fitarco calendar and valid for the qualification for the next Italian championships scheduled in Rimini in the month of March 2023.

The event will be attended by 138 archers from the Olympic bow, compound bow and bare bow divisions. The senior, master, junior, rearing boys and very young categories are enrolled in the competition. Valle d’Aosta is represented by the Prince Thomas 1er club which will also bring 8 athletes from the youth sector onto the field.

“The type of 18 m outdoor race – explains the president of Sentiero Selvaggio, Emilio Fanti (in the picture) – it is a new type of competition that the Italian Federation has included in its national calendar only a few months ago and this one in Venaria Reale is one of the very first competitions to take place in Italy “.

The technical rules are the same as for the 18m indoor competition with the only variant that the archers are conditioned, unlike the 18m indoor, by the atmospheric conditions that in some cases complicate the aiming operations.

In addition to the Aosta Valley, Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont will be present.
