Through the various sports and recreational activities, the participants were able not only to meet and talk to each other, but also to discover different dances as well as taste a Mexican-flavoured menu.

The involvement of various organizations in the community also allowed the citizens present to meet them in a fun context and to encourage the involvement of young people from the Maison des Jeunes Robert-Cliche in the animation of the sports facilities.

The OTJ field has made it possible to offer a diversified time slot, such as: baseball, soccer, basketball, which are animated and adapted to encourage everyone’s participation, regardless of physical ability. Salsa and merengue lessons offered by the Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi Beauce-Nord, via their CAIDI service (welcome and integration committee for immigrants) and a newcomer, country dance lessons and yoga lessons were also offered.

It is important to remember that these activities are for the entire population of the MRC Beauce-Centre and they are offered free of charge through funding granted by the Réseau d’Éclaireurs to the Table de développement social-GRAP of the MRC Robert-Cliche (TDS- GRAP). The latter being designated as respondent and in charge of funding for the current year. The members of the TDS-GRAP have chosen to use this funding to meet the needs expressed in the psychosocial monitoring.
