The African Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Confederation was created on September 18, 2022 by the continent’s national federations affiliated to the International MMA Federation (IMMAF), the IMMAF announced on September 22. The AMMAC will aim to “advance the development of MMA in the region and support the continued recognition by the international body of the Olympic movement”, underlines a press release. It has 19 founding members.
