MLB will play a regular season series in Mexico in 2023Seventh Inning

Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Brandon Crawford, Tommy La Stella, Joc Pederson and Mike Yastrzemski are some of the stars that will be on the field of Alfredo Harp Helu Stadium in 2023 after the office of the Major League Baseball (MLB) made a two-game regular season series official between San Francisco Giants y San Diego Padres on April 29 and 30, 2023 at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.

This will be the first time in history that the Major Leagues play regular season games in Mexico City. Demonstration games were previously played, most recently between Houston Astros and the Padres themselves at Estadio Fray Nano in 2016.

“Our mission is to bring the game of baseball to every person on the planet that we can,” said Chris Manak, chief of operations and strategy for the office of MLB. “The relationship we have with Mexico is one of the most important in the world.”
