Australian Jack Miller (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) took his first victory of the season in the Japanese MotoGP Grand Prix held at the “Twin Ring” circuit of Motegi, in which Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda RC 213 V) achieved a creditable fourth place and the leader of the world championship, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha YZR M 1) finished in a discreet seventh position.
Quartararo remains world leader, now 18 points ahead of Italian Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP22), who failed to score when he crashed on the last lap when battling with the Frenchman for seventh place.
