Melilla, national epicenter with the European Week of Sport

An intense sports day is what Melilla will experience this weekend with the celebration of the European Week of Sports, which starts with the name of #BeActive Night. The nerve center of all these events will be in the Multifunctional Plaza from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., although some local federations will already begin to play their different tournaments in the morning.

All this aimed at ensuring that all participants have a healthy life based on physical exercise and proper nutrition. Up to 24 sports modalities will be fully involved with the celebration of different competitions, talks and exhibitions, among others. It should be noted that there may be more than 1,000 people from Melilla who will be able to enjoy this important sports day at a European level, with Melilla being the national venue. One of the main novelties is that many of these federal entities of our city will program activities for groups with special characteristics, according to Rachid Bussian.

Among the entities that will contribute their grain of sand so that everything is a huge success will be the Olimpic Center and Drácena gyms that will do spinning, pillars and body pump masterclasses; Skating School with a demonstration and exhibition of this sport. One of the great federations, such as the football federation, will organize different futsal and beach soccer matches for both men and women throughout the morning and afternoon in different categories.

Other states that will take the stage will be archery, cycling, basketball rhythmic gymnastics, with the dispute of a 3×3 tournament, swimming with different exits to swim, badminton that will install three playing fields , tennis, fishing and casting, triathlon and the Melilla Athletics Federation, with races for the little ones. We are facing a fairly intense day and where all Melillans are invited to enjoy it, after the important commitment to our city by the Higher Sports Council.

The president of the Higher Sports Council, José Manuel Franco Pardo, will arrive in Melilla on this Saturday to be present throughout this sports day that will be held in the Multifunctional square and on the San Lorenzo beach.
