The coach seeks in this way to direct his players from a scaffold located in the heights “without leaving his throat”

In a world that is preparing for the arrival of the metaverse predicted by Mark Zuckerberg, it is curious to see a coach of one of the best teams in the world use a technological device with such tradition. The official account of La Roja has shared a video on its social networks in which it is seen how Luis Enrique uses a walkie talkie to address his players, as if it were General Patton himself giving orders to his troops in the second World War.

“We are up to date!”, assures the official account of the selection in the message that aims to viralize the new method of communication used by Luis Enrique from that scaffold, located in the heights, in which he follows the training sessions prior to the clash of the sixth round of the Nations League against Portugal. The idea is to prevent the mister from hoarse giving instructions to his men and to preserve his already delicate vocal cords.

With this new method, his voice resonates with the internationals, who wear bibs with built-in loudspeakers at the height of their necks. It is as if Luis Enrique was always on top of them, in such a literal way that he scares. “They don’t have to do anything, dad will come out from behind,” explains the coach with a frown. Just by pressing the button on his walkie talkie, the Spaniard makes himself heard clearly without “leaving my throat. I hope he doesn’t get too attached and that he can serve you ».

“I hope I don’t yell too much”

The video in which you can see how the coach explains the new communication method to his players is not wasted. “I hope I don’t shout too much, I’m not used to speaking to people who are far away in a low voice,” says Luis Enrique at the briefing. Of course, now the players of La Roja will not have the excuse that they did not listen to their coach’s orders in training.

However, Luis Enrique is not the first coach to use a walkie talkie to communicate with players. Vanderlei Luxemburg is addicted to this device. Yes, with differences. The Brazilian coach communicated with his assistant and then he transmitted his orders to the Real Madrid players at the foot of the field when he was in charge of the white team in the 2004/2005 season in a squad that included the galactic Raúl González, David Beckham, Ronaldo or Zidane.
