List of 25 National Teams Bite Fingers After Failing to U-20 Asian Cup 2023

A total of 25 national teams had to bite their fingers after it was confirmed that they failed to qualify for the competition 2023 Asian U-20 Cup of Uzbekistan.

Nine groups completed qualifying matches on Sunday (18/9). From these qualifying matches, 13 national teams have qualified for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup with the host Uzbekistan.

The U-20 Indonesian national team, which won Group F, will be one of the teams that will go to Uzbekistan next year.

So far, Indonesia and Vietnam are the two teams from Southeast Asia that will appear in the U-20 Asian Cup finals.

Meanwhile, several other countries in the ASEAN region had to bury their dreams of playing in the Asian Cup next year after their journey ran aground in qualifying.

Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Timor Leste, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam are the Southeast Asian teams that cannot participate in the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup.

The Southeast Asian countries are not alone, because 17 teams from other Asian countries will also not appear in the U-20 Asian Cup next year.

Currently, the final round of the U-20 Asian Cup 2023 leaves two places to be contested for the winner of Group H and the best runner-up.

Thailand is one of the teams who are struggling to get tickets through the best runner-up title.

Myanmar, Maldives, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Yemen, Palestine, Laos, Guam, Taiwan, Turkmenistan, Northern Mariana Islands, Mongolia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste, Hong Kong, Philippines, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Singapore, Cambodia , UAE and Brunei Darussalam.
