Liberec – Pilsen 2:3 PP, The White Tigers’ incredible series continues, another extension!

The introduction belonged to the guests, who also won the first power play in the match with their activity. However, they did not play it well and did not threaten Kváča in the Liberec goal at all. Blomstrand only got the first big chance during the five-on-five game, but Kváča was ready.

On the other side, he again tested Svoboda with a sharp blow from Filippi. In the middle of the first period, the home side also played with a numerical advantage, but Frolík’s foul ended it prematurely. The White Tigers defended themselves in the weakening, but shortly after the end of the game, Zámorský leaned on the puck on the blue line and opened the score of the match with a shot under the crossbar.

Kaňák could have increased the difference by two goals right away, but Kváč made an excellent shot. The North Bohemians tried to equalize in a power play, but Svoboda managed Balinskis’ shot.

Škoda could increase its lead in the subsequent numerical advantage, but Kváča caught Blomstrand’s chance. After that, the home team played another power play, but just like in the previous ones, they did not create any more chances. Only at the end of the second act did Melancon have a great opportunity, but Svoboda stole an almost certain goal from him with a fantastic save.

At the beginning of the third part, Blomstrand got behind the home defenders, but Kváča kept his team. Subsequently, visiting Malát committed a foul, and after a minute of the game, Mertl aa was added to the penalty box, and Liberec used the opportunity offered to reduce the score. Bulíř managed to reduce it.

Frolík then had another chance, but Svoboda made a good save. On the other side, Suchý again ran into a quick counterattack, but it went just wide. In the last minute of the third period, home Melancon and visiting Rekonen still had a great opportunity. But none of them succeeded with their ending.
